Hi! That is me with two of the best reasons to get up in the morning.
This blog is about the issues impacting our community and region, sprinkled with some commentary about University of Washington athletics. Go Dawgs!
I grew on the Kitsap Peninsula in a little town near the Hood Canal. I now live on Finn Hill in north Kirkland with my two sons and my wife. We attend Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Juanita where I serve on the advocacy committee and as vice president of the church council. Recently I was elected by the voters to serve as a commissioner (position 5) for the Finn Hill Park and Recration District which manages O.O. Denny Park on Lake Washington.
Currently, I am an HR Administrator for a utility district in Snohomish County. I have worked for a King County Councilmember, a member of the Washington State House of Representatives, and for the Office of the Secretary at the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington D.C. I hold a Masters degree in Public Administration from Seattle University and a Bacherors degree in Political Science from the University of Washington.
The picture was taken at Holden Village, a retreat in the mountains near Lake Chelan owned by the Lutheran Church. Holden is one of my favorite places on earth. I also enjoy attending the Seattle Opera, the Everett Aqua Sox, and Husky football and basketball games. I am a huge fan of the game of tennis, although I don’t pick up a racket nearly as much as I should.
Thank you for stopping by! Feel free to send me an email.
